After a couple of intense weeks of work, now the Dark Pact spell is finished for War Mage Diary. This lets your mage summon demons. The first few pages cover casting the thoroughly evil Dark Pact spell, followed by pages of stats, unique traits, weapons, and unique attacks. Check out the first two pages above!

Demons are another classification of creature—a bit of a mix between Faerie and WitchBorn—and they earn levels! Of course, demons expect a tribute to remain in your war clan—perhaps even your mage’s soul!

UPDATE. This tome has expanded greatly from the original 180 planned pages to 224…so far! The extra work is well worth it but I realize I have fallen behind in delivering the PDF version of the book. I have decided to release an early PDF including rules on casting spells, the spells, mage skills, new equipment (at least where it is now), and templates. 

Some sections won’t be included in the PDF but there will be plenty of meat to get set playtesting. And that’s the goal. If many of you get playing sooner, you’ll find questions, flaws, and loopholes that we can address before the final version arrives.  

My goal is to deliver a book before I take a Christmas break. That’s not far off—I’ll keep you posted if things change. I can’t wait to share this stuff!

The War Has Begun!

International Stretch Goals shipped last Friday. Your patience through government upheavals and supplier delays has been much appreciated! Much of the shipment left by DHL to GamesQuest in England and from there the Daughters will be dispersed around the world. Again, sorting this will take some  time as it is holiday season for GamesQuest—but they assure me they will keep the packages moving.

Your packages includes the first three Stretch Goals for War Mage Diary. 

All orders in North America went out previously (except some of my friends and family who haven’t stopped by for much too long of a time!) 

I’m finishing the writing and photography for the big tome and hope to announce when the PDF is coming—very soon!

Round 1: 

Stretch goals 1 and 3 for War Mage Diary have begun shipping today! Existing products are heading out too so you can get playing. There may be some nice surprises too!

For friends in Europe and Asia, your orders will be shipping nearer the end of the month. Brexit is causing import/export difficulties with the warehouse in England and to make a very long story short, I have to be approved for certain registrations first.

The Pledge Manager for War Mage Diary closes on Monday, August 19. Be sure to wrap up your pledge and collect your seven (!) Stretch Goals.

Today we’re pre-packing dice and miniature sets! 

I was never satisfied with the photo of the cool Familiars we’re offering. But this new photo does the trick!

If we’re pre-packing orders, this means the pledge manager is closing very soon! 

We’re on track to ship your first wave of minis, dice, starter sets, expansion maps, and T-shirts starting in September. The PDF version of War Mage Diary will likely follow late October and some of the other digital Stretch Goals will be peppered throughout the coming months as your tomes are being produced.

There are just a few folks who haven’t completed their surveys yet. Please take a minute to complete yours (the pledge manager closes Monday). And check out the Familiars. The Half-Frost Jotunn kicks butt!
